Worship & Prayer
Children take part in daily Collective Worship. Children Worship in whole school, key stage or class groups. Through Collective Worship children develop an understanding of the structure and purpose of liturgy, explore the Gospels with reference to aspects of moral and social teachings and are encouraged to reflect and respond. Children regularly prepare and lead their own worship and parents are regularly invited to join their children for class and whole school liturgies and masses.
Prayer life is an important part of school life at St Joseph’s. Children pray each morning, before and after lunch and each evening. Our children also meditate each day. Children are also given the opportunity pray and reflect during the school day. Children learn a range of traditional prayers. This can be accessed here. Each class makes its own prayer book.
